A man from Bletchley has received a 10 year jail term following a trial for supplying Class A drugs in Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire.

Ali Amin, 31, of Duncombe Street, Bletchley, was convicted and sentenced on Friday (08/01) at Aylesbury Crown Court of conspiracy to supply cocaine.

Amin was charged by police in December 2013 after being found by an investigation to be involved in collusion with others to be supplying cocaine in the area between December 2012 and May 2013. His conviction follows that of the jailing of seven others in 2014, and custodial sentences for four others on the same case.

During the investigation, police recovered over 1kg of high-purity cocaine, a pressing machine, 1kg of cutting agent benzocaine, tick lists with customer details and an adapted handgun with ammunition from an address at Godwin Close in Milton Keynes after issuing a warrant in May 2013. Further warrants on addresses in Northampton, Milton Keynes, Harlow and London in August 2013 saw a further kilo of cocaine and £45,000 cash recovered, as well as the arrest of several individuals.

Amin was found guilty of involvement by a jury’s unanimous decision following a four day trial.

DI Bruce Riddell, who lead the operation, said the conviction should be the last of this particular operation, and that it should send a message to other gangs in the area.

He said, “Amin’s conviction is the last in what has been a challenging and lengthy investigation by Thames Valley Police’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit into a conspiracy to supply cocaine.

“This Milton Keynes based drugs conspiracy, which is one of the largest the Force has disrupted, was led by Michael Mullen who previously pleaded guilty and received 10 years imprisonment.

“I believe this latest sentence sends out a message to those who are part of organised crime groups that, with the help of those in our communities, we will find out who you are and will be relentless in our efforts to pursue and disrupt illegal activities.”
